A little success story from yesterday.
A very dear friend of mine knows what I teach, but she's not into the Law. She doesn't argue with it, she just never paid much attention to it.
Yesterday she called me because she had a strange feeling. She told me, "Every time I've had this feeling before, something bad happened. I know it's coming again."
I asked her one simple question.
"What if the feeling isn't predicting the future? What if your mind has simply connected that feeling with old experiences?"
I told her to stop feeding the old story and, instead, attach that same feeling to something wonderful. A happy memory, or even better, the outcome she wanted most.
She didn't debate it. She didn't ask for proof.
She simply did it.
About two hours later she called me back, crying.
Her father had been unwell for weeks and was waiting for important test results. He had just received the call from the doctor.
Everything was clear. He didn't need treatment. There was nothing seriously wrong. It had simply been the heatwave affecting him.
She kept saying, "I don't understand how the same feeling that terrified me turned into this."
That's exactly what Neville Goddard meant when he said that feeling is the secret.
The feeling wasn't the problem. The meaning she had given it was.
She stopped accepting an old assumption and occupied a different state. The outer world reflected it.
Most people spend their lives treating feelings as messages about what is coming.
Neville taught that feeling is not a prophecy. It is the experience of the state you are living from.
Change the state, and you begin changing what life reflects back to you.
Sometimes the biggest shift doesn't come from doing more.
It comes from refusing to let yesterday decide what today means.
