Be happy
STOP WAITING FOR YOUR LIFE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY.
We spend so much of our lives attaching happiness to a future event.
“When I have more money, I’ll be happy.” “When I meet the right person, I’ll be happy.” “When my business takes off, I’ll be happy.” “When everything finally falls into place, I’ll relax.”
And then we wonder why happiness always seems one step ahead of us.
Jim Rohn said: “Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.”
That hits differently when you really think about it.
Neville Goddard spoke about this through the idea of living from the state you desire. Your inner experience matters. The way you feel, think and identify with yourself today becomes part of the reality you continue to experience.
You can enjoy your coffee while you're still building the life you want. You can laugh while you're figuring things out. You can feel safe while your circumstances are still changing. You can allow yourself to experience life instead of constantly waiting for permission from the future.
Because if your happiness depends entirely on circumstances changing, your circumstances are deciding how you get to feel.
Maybe today doesn't need to become perfect.
Maybe you simply need to stop treating the present like a waiting room.
Take the walk. Enjoy the music. Call someone you love. Sit in the sun. Laugh at something stupid. Buy yourself the flowers. Let yourself feel good for no complicated reason.
Your life is happening while you're waiting for it to begin.
So tell me honestly:
What have you been waiting for before allowing yourself to be happy?
