Hi everyone, and thank you for joining. I’m Dana, a counsellor, survivor, and founder of the North East Safeguarding Network (NESN). I created this space because I believe safeguarding isn’t just the responsibility of professionals—it’s something we can all play a part in. Whether you’re here because of your work, your lived experience, or simply because you care about making communities safer, you’re very welcome. This community will focus on practical safeguarding knowledge, trauma awareness, early intervention, recognising risk, and supporting vulnerable people. I’ll be sharing resources, discussions, and insights, and I hope this becomes a place where we can learn from one another with respect and curiosity. I’d love to get to know you. Please introduce yourself in the comments and tell us: - Where you’re from (if you’re happy to share) - What brought you here - One topic you’d like to learn more about Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can help build safer, stronger communities.
