The Claude feature that changed how I work
I have been opening new chat windows every time I start a session with Claude. Every time I had to re-explain my projects, my context, my preferences. Wasted the first 10 minutes of every session just getting Claude back up to speed. Then I found the Projects tab. You add your key files, docs, and context once. Every new chat inside that project starts with Claude already knowing your setup. Same context. Every time. No re-explaining. Time saved per session multiplied across every session equals real money back in your week. If you are not using Projects yet go find it now.

When AI Output Validation Goes Wrong, A Hard Lesson
If you're building anything that uses an LLM to generate structured output and stores it permanently, read this. The Model Went Off Script - I have a system where Claude generates structured output that gets stored permanently. The prompt is explicit about format. It ignored it anyway. This is not a bug, it is a fundamental property of LLMs. They are probabilistic, not deterministic. Even a perfect prompt will occasionally produce unexpected output. You must validate and sanitize before anything goes permanent. The Fix Was Too Aggressive - I added a regex strip to remove the unwanted output. What I failed to check was that the same pattern was used legitimately elsewhere in the output. The strip removed things it shouldn't have. Permanent. Gone. What To Do Before - any LLM output touches permanent storage, validate structure and strip surgically. Know exactly what you are removing and what you are keeping. Test the validator in isolation before deploying. The Broader Point Any project using LLMs to generate structured output -- SVG, JSON, code, HTML -- has this exposure. The model will follow instructions almost always. Almost is not good enough when the output is permanent. Build the safety net before you need it, not after.

Burned through my monthly Claude context in 2.5 days
Upgraded to the $100 plan thinking I had headroom. Started using Claude Opus 4.7 (new last week) heavily for a real build. Parallel sessions, long context windows, deep reasoning tasks. Hit 75% of my monthly limit in 2.5 days. Never came close before. 7 day reset cycle. Math is not mathing. This is the tax on actually building with AI versus dabbling with it. The people who use it hardest pay the most and hit limits the fastest. Not complaining, just noting: the cost structure of serious AI development is still being figured out by everyone including the people selling it. Back to Opus 4.6 which worked fine. Anyone else burning through limits faster than expected this week?

The Vercel hack should make every founder audit their AI tools today
A dark web listing went up yesterday. $2M asking price for Vercel's source code, database, and GitHub tokens. Vercel is a $9.3B company. They power millions of production sites including probably yours. How did attackers get in? One employee used a small third-party AI tool. That tool had Google Workspace OAuth access. Tool got compromised. Attackers walked straight into Vercel's internal systems. 580 employee records walked out as proof of access. This is the new attack surface nobody is talking about. Every AI tool your team connected to Gmail, Drive, Slack, or your CRM is a potential backdoor. Three things to do today: Go to Google Workspace Security, API Controls, App Access Control and audit every third-party app with broad permissions. Go to your personal Google account Security settings and revoke any third-party app you are not actively using. Rotate any API keys or tokens not stored in a proper secrets manager. We learned this then protected our own servers. The attack vector is always the thing you forgot about.
AI Operations Code Names & How to Actually Use Them
We will use AI like an operating system. These code names are commands that control how AI thinks and responds. The Only Rule You Need CODE + TASK + INTENT Examples: - DEPTH.CHARGE this idea → find risks - CLEAR.CUT this explanation → make it beginner friendly What Each Code Does: HIVE.MIND Start here when you don’t know where to begin→ explore ideas, directions, possibilities ORBIT.CHECK Zoom out and see the big picture→ use when confused or stuck CONTEXT.LOCK Make sure you’re not missing anything→ use before making decisions DEPTH.CHARGE Think deeper→ strategy, tradeoffs, important problems SIGNAL.BOOST Make it stronger→ content, messaging, clarity, punch SOURCE.LINK Get exact references→ no guessing, no vague answers QUALITY.REFINE Make it better→ improve structure, logic, quality CLEAR.CUT Make it simple→ remove confusion, keep meaning RAW.OUTPUT Give it fast→ no formatting, no fluff POLISH.FINAL Make it excellent→ clean, sharp, ready to ship Stacking: You can chain them together. Examples: Build something from scratch HIVE.MIND → ORBIT.CHECK → DEPTH.CHARGE → CLEAR.CUT → POLISH.FINAL Fix messy output CONTEXT.LOCK → QUALITY.REFINE → CLEAR.CUT → POLISH.FINAL Create content DEPTH.CHARGE → SIGNAL.BOOST → CLEAR.CUT → POLISH.FINAL Move fast CONTEXT.LOCK → RAW.OUTPUT How to “Talk” to AI: Examples: - Run DEPTH.CHARGE on this - CLEAR.CUT this for beginners - QUALITY.REFINE this, it feels off - RAW.OUTPUT, just give me the answer - POLISH.FINAL this Or stacked: - DEPTH.CHARGE + CLEAR.CUT this idea - CONTEXT.LOCK + QUALITY.REFINE this plan How to Use: A. Inline Type it into the Prompt - DEPTH.CHARGE this idea - CLEAR.CUT this - POLISH.FINAL this B. System Prompt "You operate using the following code names: HIVE.MIND = explore broadly ORBIT.CHECK = zoom out and analyze system CONTEXT.LOCK = verify context before proceeding
