My Mission
MissionNature’s Home & Farm Makers is a nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering youth (ages 10-plus) to build, grow, and sustain their homes and communities. Through hands-on experience in construction, farming, and food systems, we aim to create a multi-generational foundation of self-sufficiency that helps individuals not only thrive but give back to those in need. Vision. To cultivate a new generation of self-sustaining individuals equipped with the skills to build, grow, and nourish themselves, their families, and their communities while promoting sustainability, food security, and community resilience. My classes combines construction skills with agricultural education and food security to prepare young people for sustainable living. Comin Soon:Nature's Food Class Where we take all harvest & Collected from the month & turn into food.
How to Harvest, Collect, Prepare and Serve, Preserve, Store and plant again or Compost. You will be in the garden, nursery, store and kitchen in this class. This class will start out with the Introduction to understanding seasons, where we are in the calendar, where the soil temperatures are and what to prepare for with food. This class will have a basics on tools needed to making seasonal food more convenient but are not necessary. All we need is our eyes, hands, nose and mouth to create wholesome healthy food from our own soil. There will be a basic discussion on mushrooms with a different type shared every month. This class will take the current harvest and make it into food and health. This is a growing/cooking and survivalist class. What does it really mean to fill my pantry? Storage food created from your own soil or of the soil from your neighbors. We will also show the importance of recycling and composting and how this all ties into how we can all create healthy soils, by what we buy and consume. Healthy Soil gives us Healthy life. Seed collection, saving and storage will also be shared.

Tthe Art of Keeping Bees, which is incredibly important component to a healthy ecosystem. You will learn about: Flora & Fauna, Descriptions of bee behaviors, Growing and managing bee loving plants, Nature approved recipes for managing bees and their foraging areas, Installation of boxes,Bee colony structure and health,Manage overcrowding, Managing bees for honey production, Stacking & Sorting Supers, Harvesting honey Understanding current California regulations. What does it mean to save the bees? What is the sole purpose of a bee? How many bees does it take to produce a teaspoon of honey? How much honey do you get in one hive? Why is honey different colors? These and so many other questions will be answered in this class. Join me.
