Foraging holiday
I am going bush for a few days to complete a series of healers wananga (course, school, gathering of learning). It is a tapu (sacred) time with my mentors where I absorb the knowledge they hand down. We sit with the tress and observe their movements and the sounds the winds make as it passes through them. We will forage to restock supplies for our medicines, and I will listen and learn. There are no phones or access to the world where we go so please do not think I have disappeared. I will return with a revitalised spirit and some very cool stories no doubt! Be gentle and kind to yourselves. Be right back

WELCOME! PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF💕
Thank you for being here and joining our community. When you’re ready, we invite you to introduce yourself. In Aotearoa NZ, Māori often share a pepeha — a traditional way of introducing oneself through connections to place, whakapapa-geneology, and identity. A pepeha speaks to your mountain, your river, your land, and your people. It grounds you in where you come from and helps others understand who you are through your ties to the whenua-land. There is also the mihi, a more general introduction that reflects where you grew up, where you live now, where you call home, the work you do, and of course, your name. These forms of introduction help us find shared connections — familiar landscapes, family names, or life experiences. Feel free to use any of the prompts below to craft your pepeha or mihi: - Where are you from? - Where did you grow up? - Where do you live now? - Where do you call home? - What is the mountain closest to where you live? - What is the nearest body of water? (river, lake, ocean, stream) - What is your full name? - Where is your family name from? - What do you do for work?
Time travel..
If you were given the opportunity to time travel once...where would you go? and why?

My day so far....Tautoko (support)
While you are all patiently waiting for me to build a solid community and classes, I will post parts of my life that are relevant to my work and Māoritanga (māori culture, practices and beliefs) so you're still learning, and we establish and build connection. You can also check out my Instagram pages to see what my life looks like as a guardian, māmā, grandmother, aunt, student, and healer! 🥱😴🌙4am my son and I travelled to the city to tautoko (support) the unveiling of my cousins carving he has been working on for the past 6 months (over 400hours carving). He was commissioned to create a piece for Eden Park, New Zeeland's national stadium. He has done many important pieces, and his work is seen across numerous landmarks in Aotearoa, also special mention of his mural in New your city!! I'm not going to go into lots of details here, I'd rather you watch the video and then ask me questions to start some discussions. This is a method I call forced connection lol. Or just let me know how the video made you feel 🫶 https://www.instagram.com/this_is_my_rongoa?igsh=Y3d1bm12bXluenZh https://www.instagram.com/aia.healing.rongoa?igsh=MTRwZ3o5dG03NXAxdw==
