📚 HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT | AUGUST 16–22, 2026
This week’s homework assignment is a group petition-writing exercise. Each facilitator group will work together to write an original petition based on its assigned topic. Your completed petition will be presented by your group on your scheduled Wrap-Up Day.
Important Assignment Instructions:
Please do not use the prayers that Tamarcus has already written. The purpose of this assignment is for each group to study, research, and develop its own biblically grounded petition.
You are expected to:
● Identify Scriptures directly related to your assigned petition.
● Use exegesis to examine the meaning of those Scriptures in their proper biblical context.
● Explain how the Scriptures provide biblical grounds for your petition.
● Apply the Scriptures appropriately when constructing your petition.
● Be prepared to present and explain the biblical foundation for your petition on your scheduled Wrap-Up Day.

Assignment Goal
The goal is not simply to write a prayer or reproduce someone else’s petition. The purpose is to learn how to search the Scriptures, rightly interpret them, and build a biblically sound petition from what God’s Word actually reveals.
Study the Word → Exegete the Word → Apply the Word → Build the Petition.
