Just listened to this powerful episode with Geoffrey Hinton, often called the Godfather of AI, and I’m still sitting with some of the things he shared.
What really surprised me was his view on AI making decisions based on emotions. It completely reframed how I think about machine learning and decision-making. I had never considered the risks of AI simulating or responding to emotional cues and how that could play out in real-world scenarios. Eye-opening, to say the least.
And then toward the end of the episode, when he reflects on his own life’s work and what he would do differently… that really hit me. There’s something deeply human about hearing someone who helped build the future now asking hard questions about it......not from fear, but from care, responsibility, and humility. It resonated in a very real way.
If you’re exploring AI from not just a technical lens, but also a human and ethical one, this one’s a must-listen.
