• AI-last professionals: Memorize prompts, copy others, watch tutorials, but rarely innovate or discover new use cases on their own—like tourists following a guidebook.
• AI-first professionals: Develop mental frameworks and systems that work across any tool—like locals who know the shortcuts and hidden gems.
Bottom line: Tools and tutorials will always change, but the mental models behind effective AI use stay constant. Let’s focus on those, and not just the next how-to video.
