Quick update for the Lab.
Recently someone reached out and offered to buy the AI + Automation Lab. I took it as a compliment — it means what we’re building here has real value. But the answer was no. The Lab was never meant to be flipped or turned into another subscription funnel. The goal has always been to build a place where people can learn, experiment, and ship real AI systems together. That’s also why the community will remain free forever. The only cost of admission is participation. What I’m more excited about right now is what we demoed on the Builder call today: ZULU Launchpad. Launchpad is the tool we’re building to help members here modernize websites with agentic AI. Instead of just learning about automation, you’ll be able to actually deploy AI workers for businesses — answering questions, guiding customers, and automating operations. My hope is that many of you use this to start your own AI implementation services and make real money helping businesses adopt AI. So the Lab isn’t just a community. I made a pledge this week. Here's the full story.
Fam, some of you saw my LinkedIn post blow up this week. The pledge: every product I build or work with exists to enable humans, not replace them. I just published the full essay on my new Substack, and I wrote it with builders like you in mind. The part you'll care about most: I turned Zulu on my own job search. Dropped a screenshot of a job posting into the chat, had the agent map the actual people on the hiring team in my area, got an honest fit score (high seventies, no flattery, the system is built not to lie), and went straight to human-to-human outreach instead of throwing another application into the abyss. It asks who you are trying to reach, helps you figure out what your ideal contact actually looks like, and then goes and finds them. What you get back is not a scraped contact card. It is a pre-flight brief on a real human being: • Campaign fit score and a separate data confidence score, because a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer • Every claim tagged HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW with the source link • An explicit "unverified, check this before you use it" list • Career trajectory, timing signals, who they report to, what they have said in public • Ranked engagement angles and a drafted opener you can actually send Chat is the surface.
