More Followers Won’t Save You—Fix This Instead
Think more followers will fix your sales problem? Hate to break it to you—it won’t. I used to blame my tiny audience for every flop. “If I just had 10k followers, I’d be crushing it.” But then I watched someone with 500 followers sell out a $2,000 coaching offer—while I sat there with thousands of subscribers and zero buyers. The difference? Their message was laser-focused. Mine was all over the place. The #1 reason your audience isn’t buying is because they don’t clearly see how you solve their problem. It’s not about being everywhere or having a massive following. It’s about saying the right thing to the right people, consistently. When you fix your message, the sales follow—even with a small audience. Start your sales message with symptoms your viewer can see, hear, feel, touch or taste. So they can picture it in their head. This makes it more real and relates to what the problem actually causes. When they know you actually understand what they are going through, they keep reading your post or watching your video. Lead with the symptoms they experience. Solve problems they want solved NOW. Immediately. Don't sell the product, sell the results. People desire the result. Don't be so darn serious though, have some fun and use your personality in your copy. Be clear on what you actually solve. WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF YOUR PRODUCT? People have bought tons of courses, taken lots of challenges and bought a million e-books. They aren't selling like they used to because they leave too much out. The buyer if they even finish one, is left with unanswered questions. All they really do is create unmet needs. In other words, they create demand for more. More access to the creator or coach. Personal attention with LIVE answers. We are group creatures it makes us human. Group interaction drives our feelings. They motivate us more than reading a book or watching a training. I mean, I know I space out when reading or watching a video. There's no interaction, no listening to what the other people in the class are thinking. No back and forth. People ALWAYS want to know what the others are thinking or planning to do. They are hoping someone else will ask the question they are dying to hear the answer to. Groups get people involved. They are FUN for everybody. People want to meet others just like them. They want to give their opinion. They want to look like they are smart. No matter what kind of audience you have, a newsletter or private group will let people get more involved. Plus, you now have their email address and can contact them over and over again.
