πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ The Dust from the Rabbi Luke 9:23
"Then He said to them all, 'Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow Me.'"
In the first century, disciples followed their rabbi so closely that people would say they were "covered in the dust of their rabbi." It wasn't just about learning informationβ€”it was about walking so closely with the teacher that your life began to look like his.
Jesus extends that same invitation today.
Not to admire Him from a distance.
Not to simply attend church.
Not to collect Bible knowledge.
But to follow Him.
Following Jesus means allowing His words to shape your thinking, His character to transform your heart, and His mission to become your assignment.
Every day we have a choice:
  • Deny ourselves.
  • Pick up our cross.
  • Follow the Rabbi.
The question isn't, "Do I believe in Jesus?"
The deeper question is, "Am I close enough to Jesus that the dust of the Rabbi is on my life?"
This week in Momentum Marketplace Ministries, we're beginning a journey through Luke 9:23 and discovering what authentic Kingdom discipleship really looks like.
πŸ’¬ Discussion Question:
What is one area of your life where Jesus is inviting you to follow Him more closely?
Share your thoughts below. Let's encourage one another as we pursue Christ together.
