Not everything in prospecting is gold shining in a pan or a perfect crystal coming out of the ground.
A lot of it is early mornings, long hikes, wrong turns, empty holes… and those quiet moments out in nature where you’re not even sure if you’ll find anything at all.🔎
But that’s the part people don’t see — and honestly, it’s what makes the finds worth it.
Some of my best days out there didn’t come down to what I found… but the experience:– learning the land– pushing through when nothing was showing– and those random moments where everything just clicks
That’s the real side of TE Prospecting.
I still remember my first real moment out there.
Back in 2015, I was going through a rough time… living in a camper about 40km outside Kimberley with my dog Riddick. Money was tight, life felt heavy, and I didn’t have much direction.
One day, I got out and started walking the hills, not really expecting anything. Just needed to clear my head.
That’s when I spotted a small piece of quartz on the ground… just float. Nothing crazy. But something about it made me stop.
Instead of brushing it off, I followed it.
Step by step, uphill… finding another piece, then another. Until suddenly, I wasn’t just finding float anymore — I was onto something real.
Bigger crystals started showing.💎
And just like that, everything shifted.
That moment… that feeling… it pulled me out of a dark place and into something real. That’s when I fell in love with crystal hunting.
It wasn’t just about the find — it was about what it gave me.
