This weekend, I want to give you full permission to play first, “be good” later.
If you’ve had a busy week, here’s your gentle nudge: carve out 20–30 minutes just for you, your paint, your papers, your glue, your scraps of fabric… and zero pressure to make anything finished.
Here’s your simple Weekend Play Prompt:
- Grab a page (or small canvas) and cover it with scraps, newspaper, torn book pages, patterned paper, tissue, or anything that’s lying around.
- Pick just two colours of paint and loosely block in shapes , circles, blobs, arches, little houses, whatever wants to appear.
- Add one tiny character or symbol that feels like you today, a tiny figure, a bird, a teacup, a flower, a baby, a heart, anything.
No rules, no “right way”… just layers, marks, and curiosity.
When you’re done (or halfway through!), share it in the community so we can cheer you on:
- Post a photo of your page
- Tell us in one sentence: “This is how I want my creativity to feel this year.”
Let’s fill the group with messy, imperfect beginnings rather than waiting for “perfect” finished pieces.
Who’s in for a weekend of playful making? 💕
