Can’t believe it’s Thursday already!!! Anyway, I just read the headline: “Banksy’s identity has finally been revealed – expect his art to sell for a lot more!”
It’s wild how a name can suddenly change the value of work that’s been powerful all along. It really shows how much the art world is driven by mystery, story, and status on top of the actual art.
Banksy has always fascinated me (and everyone else! 🤪 ‘ , a street artist whose work sits somewhere between graffiti, protest, and poetry. From stencilled rats and riot police to that famous shredded painting stunt, his pieces have a way of making you stop, laugh, and then really think about the world we live in.
Whether you love street art or not, it’s hard to deny how powerful it is when an image on a wall can spark global conversations about politics, capitalism, and humanity.
