I got a raise.. 💸

Because I asked for one. When my company demanded more responsibilites of me that I realized did not align with my current job description, I simply asked the following.

"I'd like my salary to be re-evaluated taking the new (role and/or) responsibilites into account."

And I got a 10% raise.

No, I would not have gotten it if I didn't ask for it - but it was fair of them adhere to my request. You don't have to wait till your yearly review or whatever to ask this.

Just strike when the iron is hot and you're the one holding the hammer.
