Bitnami new License schema
Hello community, I came across the news that Bitnami open source schema is changing for a Lincense model, it may worth the time to read this "Upcoming changes to the Bitnami catalog (effective August 28th, 2025)" issue from Bitnami's Github, it affects Docker images and Helm charts, in case any of the projects you are working on or administrating could be affected by the changes: https://github.com/bitnami/charts/issues/35164

From Resilience to a New Beginning as a Platform Engineer
I’m delighted to share that I’ve recently landed a new role as a Platform Engineer. The journey here wasn’t easy, life brought some tough challenges along the way, but perseverance and continuous learning carried me through. A big part of that learning came from this community. One of the courses offered here not only strengthened my skills but also played a key role in helping me land this opportunity. I’m deeply grateful for the support, resources, and inspiration this community provides. Thank you @Mischa van den Burg and the rest of the people behind for creating a space where growth and encouragement truly make a difference. Cheers!

Need Career Advice: Full Stack vs DevOps
Hey everyone 👋 I’m a 2nd-year CS student. I know intermediate ML, basic frontend (HTML, CSS, JS), and I’m pretty solid in backend (Node + Express). I’m aiming for a career in DevOps — do I really need to go deep into full-stack development, or is my current knowledge enough? Should I keep learning full stack or just focus fully on DevOps? Would love your thoughts 🙏

And of course the DevOps roadmap, what to learn and when.
Be careful about choosing certifications and credentials (Udemy, &c.)
I know many of you will find this new Wall Street Journal article about certifications and skills credentials of interest: https://archive.is/mDv5T Key takeaways: "...most programs deliver few material returns, a new study finds." "These certificates, digital badges and other nondegree credentials have proliferated as more academic institutions and other providers spot a lucrative business." "Many credentials don’t provide a pay boost or lead to a career transition." "Just one in eight nondegree credentials delivered notable pay gains within a year of completion." And probably the biggest takeaway: "A lot of credentials are being designed based on a loose understanding of what it takes for somebody to get hired in the field."

Fortunately, we knew this over a year ago. KubeCraft Career Accelerator is all about hands-on, production experience that shows you can actually do the job. That’s what employers want. This is why our members land jobs vs ‘more qualified’ applicants. Certifications do help you get found. They hardly move the needle for actually getting hired.
