I’ve had this weird pattern where I’ll know exactly what I need to do, have the plan sitting right in front of me… and still find myself avoiding the one task that actually matters.
So lately I’ve been paying more attention to the moment before I procrastinate.
Is the task actually unclear?
Am I overwhelmed?
Am I trying to make it perfect?
Or am I avoiding something that feels uncomfortable because it would actually move me forward?
One small thing that’s helped is making the next action ridiculously clear. I use Floment to keep my projects and daily tasks visible, but the tool itself isn't really the important part.
The important part is removing my ability to say, “I don't know what I should work on.”
It’s interesting how often what looks like a productivity problem is actually something deeper.
Has anyone else noticed a specific type of task they tend to avoid even when they know it would move their business forward?
