Embracing Something New
I’m not exactly sure where my post will go if I type in this box, but I’ll try it and see…
I wanted to expound a bit on #1 on the “get-to-know-you” page. I think it will be good for me to share this, and maybe it will be helpful for others who have walked a similar path 😊
I’m here because I caught part of Dr. Heath’s series on grief. It was exactly what I needed to hear, when I needed to hear it—thank you, Dr. Heath.
Side note: My phone corrects “Heath” to “health”—which, honestly, isn’t wrong 😂
Every April, I spend some extra time reflecting on my little girl, Naomi Joy, who I miscarried a few years ago. She was due on April 21st. This was my fifth (and final) miscarriage.
In the years since her passing, I created a tradition of embracing something new each April, in honor of her and the other babies I loved, but had to let go.
I choose new activities that will help me and my family live our lives to the fullest. Last April, we started our state’s State Park Challenge. This year, I’m joining this class 🎉
I look forward to learning and challenging myself alongside each of you. And I will share the tools I learn with others. It will take me some time, but I hope to steadily make it through all the posts and levels.
Thanks for letting me join ❤️
