This morning we talked about a habit that quietly drains confidence, clarity, and courage:
People-pleasing.
People-pleasing is often praised as kindness, but many times it is fear wearing a smile.
Fear of rejection.Fear of disapproval.Fear of conflict.Fear of not being accepted.
Many of us learned to adjust ourselves to make others comfortable. We said yes when we meant no. We stayed silent when something felt wrong. We prioritized approval over alignment.
But constantly abandoning yourself is not peace.
It is pressure.
Today we learned that our value does not come from being liked. It comes from knowing who we are and walking in alignment with Godโs purpose for our lives.
We reflected on the life of Eleanor Roosevelt, who stopped living for the approval of others and chose to live according to her values. She discovered that trying to please everyone required betraying herselfโand that cost was too high.
Her courage reminds us that true leadership begins when we stop seeking permission to be who God created us to be.
โจ Key Takeaway:You are not called to please everyone, you are called to walk in alignment.
Alignment produces a peace that approval never can.
Continue doing the work.Continue detoxing the mind.Continue choosing truth over approval.
