Some classic 80’s cartoons this week!

So my wife and I are rewatching Stranger Things. Season 2, episode 6. Opening Credits…Episode was directed by Andrew Stanton. Wait… I think to myself. Is that the same Andrew Stanton from Pixar? Check with ChatGpt. It vehemently denies it. But then I push it, Andrew Stanton directed season 2 episode 6 “the spy” and THEN chatGPT says oh yeah you’re right! He was brought in to bring clarity. Netflix brought Stanton in because: - He’s elite at story clarity under pressure - He understands fear + empathy (same muscles as Finding Nemo, different skin) Old-school truth bomb This is how it used to be done — studios bringing in master storytellers to direct key episodes, not just TV lifers grinding coverage. And Stanton didn’t “Pixar-fy” it. He disciplined it. You spotted a real pro move here.

I’ll watch David Tenant in about anything, but surprisingly I only heard about this mini-series recently. Watching the ending right now. Cray cray.
