Monday Musing ✦ Chiron Crosses into Taurus
This Friday, June 19th, Chiron makes its first step into Taurus. It dips back into Aries in September, then back to Taurus in April 2027, where it will stay until July 2033. What arrives Friday is a first kiss.
Chiron is the wounded healer. The place in us where the deepest hurt and the deepest wisdom occupy exactly the same ground. It doesn’t promise to fix what’s broken. It promises that what’s broken can become medicine if we are willing to work with the shadows.
Taurus is the sign of the body, of the earth underfoot, of resources and worthiness and the slow patient work of making something real. A wound in Taurus asks: do I have enough? Do I deserve what I desire? Is it safe to need?
When Chiron moves through Taurus, it illuminates the places where we learned to want things the world wasn’t willing or able to allow us access. This isn’t a transit that heals quickly. Chiron treats the wounds that don’t close but can be alchemized into a healing elixir for ourselves and those around us. That’s the invitation of the next seven years: find your Taurus wound, work through the pain, distill the gifts.
This week’s writing prompt:
Where does the ache of “not enough” live in you, and what is Chiron asking you to begin alchemizing into medicine? Write toward it. It’s a beginning step on Chiron’s path so let it be unfinished, unpolished.
Find your Rising Sign below for a writing prompt designed to bring you to the edge of the wound:
♈ Aries Rising: Write about your relationship with having. Not what you lack, but what it feels like in your body to receive, to own.
♉ Taurus Rising: Write about the wound you carry in simply being yourself. What have you had to become in order to show up at all?
♊ Gemini Rising: Write about the ache you carry alone. What are the pleasures and punishments of solitude?
♋ Cancer Rising: Write about the groups you’ve moved through, the places you’ve tried to fit and those you couldn’t quite find a place in. What does belonging look like to you?
♌ Leo Rising: Write about the gap between what you know you’re capable of and what the world has trusted you with so far. What treasure lies in that gap?
♍ Virgo Rising: Write about the wound in what you were taught to believe: about yourself, about the world, about what’s possible for someone like you. What might disrupt outgrown beliefs?
♎ Libra Rising: Write about the wound around receiving. What have you needed that you couldn’t ask for? What might happen if you let that need be known?
♏ Scorpio Rising: Write about the wound of masking within relationship. Have you learned to need less, show less, ask less? What would it take to let yourself be deeply seen by a lover or partner?
♐ Sagittarius Rising: Write about the wound you carry in your physical self, the ways your body has asked for more than was available. What small act of self-tending could you enact to start turning the tide?
♑ Capricorn Rising: Write about what you wanted to create when you were young, before you knew whether you were allowed to. What is still waiting to be made?
♒ Aquarius Rising: Write about the family wound that shaped you before you had words for it. Write your way into a salve that could start to heal not just you, but the generational trauma you inherited.
♓ Pisces Rising: Of course it hurts to be unheard. But write about the wound in being heard. What have you held back from saying? Write it now, where no one can hear, trusting the words will be heard when it’s time.
This writing is meant for you alone. But if something wants to move from the page into this space, we’re here to receive it.
