Why I Created Men & Menopause I created this community after experiencing my wife’s surgical menopause at 44. What I witnessed was sudden, intense, and something that affected our entire marriage—not just her. As a husband, I found myself navigating unfamiliar territory, realizing how little I understood and how unprepared many men are for this stage of life. I also recognized that there are men silently experiencing similar confusion, with very little space for honest conversation. Men & Menopause is a community for men and women to learn, share experiences, ask questions, and develop a better understanding of menopause and its impact on relationships, marriages, and families. We’ll address natural and surgical menopause, physical and emotional changes, communication, intimacy, and the challenges couples may face. This isn’t about assigning blame or pretending every experience is the same. It’s about listening, understanding, and bringing credible education into conversations that are too often overlooked. I’m not here as a doctor or medical expert. I’m here as a husband who recognized a gap in understanding and decided to help create a space where we can learn together. Our vision goes beyond today’s conversations: we want to educate couples, connect generations, and help younger people understand what many of us were never taught. Because knowledge removes ignorance—from ourselves and our communities.
