PROPER USE OF ANTIBIOTICS
Welcome !.Today let us delve into antibiotics and the need to adhere to prescriptions Antibiotics resistance occurred when bacteria that cause infections become resistant to the antibiotics used to treat them. This means the medicine no longer works as well to kill the bacteria. Over time, this resistance builds up because antibiotics are sometimes overused or misused. For example, if antibiotics are taken for a virus (like the common cold), which they can't treat, or if a prescribed course of antibiotics isn't completed, bacteria can learn to resist the medicine. This makes infections harder to treat and can lead to the need for stronger, more expensive medications. It's important to avoid over-the-counter (OTC) medications, especially antibiotics, unless directed by a healthcare professional. Self-medicating or not following a doctor's instructions can contribute to antibiotic resistance. Taking medicines without proper guidance can also mask symptoms of a serious condition, delay treatment, and lead to complications. By using medications wisely and following healthcare advice, we help ensure that antibiotics remain effective for those who really need them, and we keep our bodies safe from the risks of resistance and improper treatment. MENTAL HEALTH IN A NUTSHELL
Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act in our daily lives. It also plays a role in how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Just like physical health, mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood through adulthood. Maintaining good mental health involves managing stress, getting enough sleep, staying active, eating a balanced diet, and seeking help when needed. Activities such as meditation, spending time with loved ones, and pursuing hobbies can also promote mental well-being. Mental health issues can range from common conditions like anxiety and depression to more severe disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It's crucial to recognize the signs of mental health problems and seek professional help when needed. Therapy, medication, and support from friends and family can make a significant difference. Reducing the stigma associated with mental health is also vital, as it encourages people to seek the help they need without feeling ashamed. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
