Difficulty in Changing Domain name

Dear Sir,

I have been trying to change the initial domain name to my preferred domain name but I was told that the new domain name needs to be verified.

I later did that and it brought out an option of payment for the domain name.

I don’t understand this, do I have to pay for that again before I can change to a new preferred domain name?
