WELCOME TO THE MAVERICK FOUNDING TEAM
Athletes, introduce yourself below: 1. First name 2. Team or age group 3. Your sport or position 4. One thing you want to improve this season Keep it short. Support at least one teammate after posting. HOW TO SUPPORT A TEAMMATE After posting your introduction: 1. Read another athlete’s introduction. 2. Click Reply under their comment. 3. Write one short, positive response. 4. Keep the response respectful and connected to what they shared. You can use one of these examples: - “That’s a great goal. You’ve got this!” - “I’m working on that too. Let’s keep each other accountable.” - “I like that goal. Keep pushing!” - “That will make a big difference this season.” - “Looking forward to seeing your progress.” - “Let’s have a great season!” Do not criticize, coach, tease, compare statistics, or give advice unless the athlete asks for it. Your Roll Call is complete when: - You have posted your introduction. - You have replied positively to at least one teammate. Parents and coaches: Give the athletes room to answer in their own words.

🏆 WEEK 1 CHALLENGE: PROVE YOUR MAVERICK IDENTITY
This week is about turning your words into action. STEP 1 — CHOOSE YOUR IDENTITY Open your Maverick Journal. Complete: “This season, I am becoming the kind of athlete who __________.” Examples: - Stays calm after mistakes - Competes when things get difficult - Prepares without being reminded - Supports teammates - Plays with confidence - Leads through actions STEP 2 — CHOOSE ONE PROOF ACTION Write one action you will complete this week to prove that identity. Example: Identity: “I am becoming a prepared athlete.” Proof action: “I will pack my equipment before being reminded.” STEP 3 — COMPLETE THE ACTION Complete your proof action at least three times this week. Each time you complete it, place a check mark in your Maverick Journal: □ Proof 1 □ Proof 2 □ Proof 3 STEP 4 — POST YOUR PUBLIC TAKEAWAY Comment below using: “My Maverick identity is __________.” “This week, I will prove it by __________.” STEP 5 — SUPPORT A TEAMMATE Reply positively to at least one teammate’s comment. You can say: - “That’s a strong identity!” - “You’ve got this!” - “Let’s keep each other accountable.” - “I’m working on that too.” PARENT SUPPORT Ask your athlete: “What action would prove that identity this week?” Listen without changing their answer. COACH CONNECTION Recognize one athlete who demonstrates their chosen identity through action. ✅ CHALLENGE COMPLETE WHEN: - You write your identity in your journal. - You choose one proof action. - You complete the action three times. - You post your public takeaway. - You support one teammate. Private journal. Public takeaway. Write it. Prove it. Become it.
