Same Task. Different Thinking.
One insight that often emerges when we slow down:
Two students can complete the same task, correctly— and be engaged in entirely different kinds of thinking. One may be recalling steps. Another may be interpreting, testing, or noticing relationships.
This week is about learning to see that difference.
Reflection Prompt: Think about a task you’ve taught more than once.
👉 Where did students have to decide, interpret, or notice something—rather than just apply a known method? If you’re realizing that space was small or absent, that’s not a problem to fix—it’s information to work with.
