What gear do I actually need to start?
The most common question I get: "what do I need to start?"
Short answer — less than you think. You do not need a £4,000 camera. When you're starting, what matters is a stable, high, wide shot that follows the play, filmed at 60fps so the motion's smooth. That's it.
What are you all working with at the minute? Drop your setup below — camera, tripod, whatever you've got — and if you're thinking of buying, ask before you spend. Cheaper to ask here than to waste money on kit you don't need.
