Spotify Album Normalization
I don't see any prior posts about this off the search bar, so apologies if I missed it. Spotify's website says "We normalize an entire album at the same time, so gain compensation doesn’t change between tracks. This means the softer tracks are as soft as you intend them to be." But I can't find any more detail on this. Is the project brought down by the loudest track on the EP/Album or by and integrated LUFS score assigned to the whole project? This hasn't been an issue in the past, because my clients' music has been pretty consistent in energy throughout their albums. But now I'm mastering an EP with some loud pop songs and some ballads, with some Int LUFS scores hitting -9.5 and others hitting -13.5. Definitely don't want the ballads to drop too low. Sticking to the basics, of course, being mindful of RMS targets and balance across the project while mastering, but any tips help. Don't want any surprises on release day.

I'm disappointed in these classes. I don't know what to do.
Could I speak to someone privately please? I wanted to enroll in The Reverse Engineer and was using these classes as a way to scope out the quality of this education, but I'm not so sure I want to enroll anymore. I guess I need some reassurance that TRE is better and more thoughtful than these classes, but I'm not confident on that.
Day 3 of EJ Vocal Challenge
I’ve been catching up on some older events. There’s a FTM back in May 2023 with EJ and I think it was a really powerful watch. Just seeing the recording process live and the o the spot changes and additions. But the day 3 only plays for like 11 seconds! Hopefully someone knows another way to watch this one? ☝🏽🖤
