Gosh this truth can be applied in SO MANY ways.
The choice to lean in to an important conversation, or dismiss it. The choice to respond to a moment or instead to react. It's a privilege we all get every day. What's ONE thing you would like to get better at choosing well? Let me know in the comments 👇

A share from the heart today
I am near the end of Year 1 of School of Faith and we've been learning about all the different ways we can hear from God. In our class this week, we went through some practices from Mark Virkler's book "Hearing God". Well during this moment God reminded me of a phrase I often use when facing something difficult. Really difficult. I would say to myself "I'm just going to go deeper in you Lord. I'm just going to do DEEPER!" Then He asked me a question: "Do you know what happens when people keep going deeper? They strike oil!!" I love this! When you choose to go deeper no matter what, you'll hit the jackpot! HIS oil. HIS oil of joy. HIS oil of gladness. The oil of gladness is referred to in Isaiah 61:3. It was part of a transformative process. So - if the week is bringing you MORE than it's share of challenges - go deeper into Him. And deeper again.

I joined Helen's group a couple of months ago and it has been a surprisingly therapeutic experience so wanted to also share what she does with you. She teaches Sketchbook Journaling. All that's needed is a pen (or pencil) and paper. That's where we start from. If you want to use something else - you can. There are no rules and there is no pressure. You simply create something. There are prompts every day re what to draw. The act of drawing is cathartic and no you don't have to share with a soul what you create. But you can if you want to. This picture I drew from her prompt one day to "Draw a Word. If you want to go further draw something else with it." I started with the word and then the rest just came to my mind so I drew it. When I finished it reminded me of Psalm 1. “And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].” Psalms 1:3 AMP Click the link and visit Helen's group.
