Home Show for the Win!
I went to a local home show this afternoon and walked around, talking to the exhibitors, always being respectful of them and not pitching (well maybe just a little).
This is a local show, so I know a bunch of people who were exhibiting, but also chatted with a dozen or so other businesses about bots and trade show follow up. I have 6 to 8 owners who want a demo. One is going to do a pilot (I've been working on this guy for a while. He's also going to pay me to introduce him to builders in my rolodex).
I'm going to have a busy week of demos.
Takeaway? Home shows although requiring ultra-soft promoting and other in-person networking, are my favourite promotional activities. Next thing on the to-do list is follow up quickly with them. I think I'll do up some Looms.
