Announcing Our First Trade Expert Session - LED Illumination
Our first trade expert is locked in — and it’s a good one. Dylan will be joining us for an upcoming live session focused entirely on LEDs.From modules and drivers to heat management, compliance, troubleshooting and real‑world installation challenges — this is your chance to get clarity from someone who lives and breathes illuminated signage. We’re still finalising the date, (should be in the next 2 - 3 weeks) but I’d love your input before we lock in the structure. Drop your questions for Dylan below. Anything you’re unsure about, anything you’ve always wanted to ask, or anything coming up in your workflow that you want expert eyes on. If you’ve got large or technical illuminated projects on the horizon, now’s the perfect time to think ahead and get your questions in early. Your questions will shape the agenda - so don’t hold back. Looking forward to this one.🙂
Friday Freebie - Free Installation Preparation Guide Now in the Classroom
I’ve just uploaded a free Installation Preparation Guide to the Classroom, and I wanted to share a bit of the “why” behind it. Across the industry, one of the biggest areas where sign companies unintentionally lose profit is during installations - not because the work is difficult, but because the installer didn’t have the right information before arriving on site. Missing details, unclear artwork, assumptions during fabrication, or clients not preparing the area… it all adds up to delays, rework, and unnecessary stress. I see this happening everywhere - from small shops to large teams - and it’s completely avoidable with the right prep. So I pulled together the most common gaps I see and turned them into a simple, practical guide you can use with any installer you work with. It’s not a rulebook. It’s not a lecture. It’s just a tool to help you protect your margins, reduce on‑site surprises, and deliver smoother installs. You’ll find it under Classroom → Installation Preparation Gude → download it, adapt it, and make it part of your workflow if it helps. And if you’ve got suggestions for what else would support you in this space, I’m all ears.

Upcoming Q&A sessions
Hello! Thank you for being the very first people to join me here on Skool. I’ll be honest - I’m still figuring out how everything works… but I will get there, and I’m excited to learn alongside you. I already have three fantastic experts lined up for upcoming Q&A sessions. Once the dates are locked in, you’ll be the first to know. ✨ Dylan from Total Supply. He’ll be joining us to answer your questions about illumination, LEDs, and upcoming projects - plus share a few tips and insights from his experience. ✨ Becky from Briefed. Becky is a global marketing guru who will be sharing advice on client engagement, attracting the right customers, and anything else you want to ask her. ✨ Graeme from The Wrap Institute. Graeme is the expert when it comes to all things wrapping and will be on hand to answer any technical questions that you might have. To help our guests prepare and make the sessions as valuable as possible, feel free to message me your questions in advance. Also, let me know if there is something in particular that you would love to know more about. I will see if I can make it happen. (Pun intended.) I’m excited to see this community grow - thanks again for being here at the very beginning. Let’s make it something special.
Hey Signoholics - welcome!
I’m a proud fourth‑generation signwriter and a happily admitted Signoholic - the person who can’t walk past a sign without touching it, analysing it, and imagining how to make it even better. My partner has learned to live with it… mostly. My journey has taken me from hands‑on signwriting and fabrication to running an award‑winning sign company, and now leading Make It Happen ANZ, where I help sign and print businesses build skills, confidence, and profits through practical training and consultancy. I also support companies with product advice, sourcing, and strategy. As a UK Sign & Wrap Awards Judge and a Judge for the NZSDA, I’m passionate about lifting the standard of creativity and craftsmanship across our industry.
