🎯 ABOUT THE ROLE
Halal Framz is a Muslim content marketing and video editing agency serving Islamic organizations, Muslim creators, and faith-aligned founders across the US, UK, and Canada. We're looking for a video editor who can turn raw footage into sharp, halal-compliant short-form content — reels, trailers, and series — for our client roster. **Kalakar is a mandatory tool for this role** — every edit you submit must include Kalakar-generated desi-language captions before it goes to review.
✅ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Edit short-form reels and long-form trailers from raw footage and SRT-based clip selections
• Caption every video using **Kalakar (mandatory)** before submission — no exceptions
• Apply Halal Framz visual standards: no music unless approved, no immodest imagery, halal-first editing throughout
• Work from provided cut lists, scripts, and creative briefs (often Roman Urdu)
• Maintain version control and final delivery through our ClickUp pipeline and Google Drive
📌 REQUIREMENTS
• 1+ years of video editing experience (portfolio required, reels/short-form preferred)
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (primary NLE for this agency)
• **Must be active and competent on Kalakar — this is a non-negotiable requirement, not a preference**
• Strong grasp of pacing, captions, and motion for Gen Z short-form content
• Comfortable working with Roman Urdu scripts and Islamic content sensitivities
• Reliable internet, own editing hardware, and availability for project-based async work
