Reminder or Riya(ریا)?
A small question that’s been on my mind lately…
If we post about Namaz in our journals like I do daily I understand it can be a way to keep myself accountable, just like other daily tasks.
Maybe it also encourages others and serves as a reminder for them.
But
Is it purely for the sake of الخير, or can it sometimes slip into ریا (showing off) without us even realizing?
Where is the line between inspiring others and seeking attention? When does a reminder stay sincere… and when does it turn into something else?
I’ve been reflecting on this, and honestly, I’m not sure. Maybe intention is everything or maybe it’s more complicated than that. It’s such a fine line and I feel like it’s easy to get confused.
What do you think?
Just a genuine question, I’d really appreciate hearing different perspectives.
