Our attention span is getting worse because of short videos and scrolling. That’s why we can’t focus for long and we keep running after motivation, which only lasts a few days.
We need to understand our dopamine system. In the morning, after waking up, energy is high and dopamine is low. That’s the best time to do difficult and important work. As the day goes on, dopamine rises and energy drops, so lighter tasks fit better later.
Here’s what I do. I wake up at 4am, pray Fajr, do a few pushups and squats, and start working at 5am. I work for 5-6 hours straight without feeling tired. After a break, I do another 2 to 3 hours of work. The only rule is don’t open Instagram or start scrolling in the morning, otherwise focus is gone.
I learned this from Alyy Hash and it honestly changed my performance. Try it out and see the difference.
