Need Help Choosing the Right Niche in AI Automation
I finally chose my skill AI Automation.
It took a lot of time, overthinking, and trial and error to reach this point. I thought once I chose the skill, everything would become clear… but honestly, niche selection has confused me again.
I chose the eCommerce (Shopify) niche.
I invested a good amount of time into it:
• Designed workflows
• Built proper automation logic
• Created a complete demo project
The automations I built were:
1️⃣ Customer support agent automation
2️⃣ Cart abandonment recovery
3️⃣ Shopify order confirmation + CRM automation
When I shared all of this with an experienced eCommerce expert, his response was eye-opening:
“These things are already handled by Shopify apps.”
And that’s where my confusion started.
Now the real question is:
If tools and apps are already doing this, then where does the real value of an automation service provider lie?
Should I:
• Go deeper within eCommerce and find more complex problems?
• Change the niche completely?
• Or position these automations from a more custom, strategic angle?
I’m not looking for validation I’m looking for direction.
If anyone has monetized AI automation in eCommerce or any other niche, your real-world advice would genuinely mean a lot to me.
