Hi, I have built similar AI voice + CRM workflows before, not identical to this exact stack, but I know the moving parts well enough that this isn't a learning project for me. I'm attaching a portfolio project so you can see how I've structured these systems in practice.
Here's how I'd approach your setup: When a new lead hits Follow Up Boss, a webhook fires immediately and triggers an outbound AI voice call through Retell. The conversation runs, Retell returns a structured summary, and n8n handles the middleware — pushing call logs, notes, qualification fields, and stage updates back into FUB. If the lead qualifies, an appointment gets created automatically. SMS confirmations go out via Twilio and get logged without duplication.
The part most people get wrong is the middleware logic — duplicate SMS records, missing call logs, pipeline stages not updating cleanly. That's where I spend the most attention.
