In my opinion technical skills are not the most important for a successful career and growth. 80% of those are soft skills like communication, knowing how to position yourself in market and how to sell your skills, positive mindset, not giving up when the odds are against you and resilience.
Technical skills are important but the skills listed can take you to the places you haven't even thought about.
One more thing, learning doesn't and shouldn't stop after school/college/ university. In fact it starts when you step into field/corporate.
