How a $5 dispute "killed" my 100% JSS & Rising Talent Badge
Hi everyone, I am sharing this to warn others and seek advice
I am a Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience. Until last week, I had a 100% JSS and a Rising Talent Badge with all 5 star reviews. Then one $10 project changed everything
What happened:
Client hired me for minor UI fixes but demanded a full Frontend, Backend and Admin Panel
The Trap: I over delivered but when I refused more free work, things got sour. To keep it professional, I even gave a 50% refund ($5)
The Result: I gave him 5 stars (as agreed) but he left a malicious private review
My Current Situation:
JSS dropped from 100% to 80% overnight
Rising Talent Badge removed
Profile Invisibility: I used to be on the 1st page of search now I am nowhere
It feels like my profile is "dead" despite my skills in React/Next.js
My Question:
Has anyone successfully recovered from an 80% JSS? How do you win jobs when the algorithm hides your profile?
