Hadith (Arabic):

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا

Translation (English):

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“The most complete of the believers in faith are those with the best character.”

(Sunan At-Tirmidhi – Hasan)

Translation (Urdu):

حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:

“ایمان میں سب سے کامل مؤمن وہ ہے جس کے اخلاق سب سے اچھے ہوں۔”

(جامع ترمذی – حسن)

Detailed Explanation / Lesson:

This hadith highlights the strong link between faith (Iman) and character (akhlaq). A true believer is not only recognized by prayers and rituals but also by how he treats others. Good manners, kindness, patience, and honesty are signs of a strong faith.

The Prophet ﷺ himself was sent as the best example of good character. This means that improving our behavior towards family, neighbors, and even strangers is a part of perfecting our Iman.

Dua:

اللَّهُمَّ حَسِّن خُلُقِي كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي

Translation (English):

“O Allah, beautify my character just as You have beautified my appearance.”

Translation (Urdu):

“اے اللہ! جیسے تو نے میری صورت کو خوبصورت بنایا ہے ویسے ہی میرے اخلاق کو بھی خوبصورت بنا دے۔”
