Hadees Of The Day | Translation, Detailed Explanation & Dua

Hadith (Arabic):

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: كُلُّ مَخْمُومِ الْقَلْبِ صَدُوقُ اللِّسَانِ

Translation (English):

Abdullah ibn Amr (RA) reported: It was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, “Which people are best?” He said, “Those with pure hearts and truthful tongues.”

(Musnad Ahmad – Sahih)

Translation (Urdu):

حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سے پوچھا گیا: سب سے بہتر لوگ کون ہیں؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: “وہ لوگ جن کے دل صاف ہوں اور جن کی زبان سچی ہو"۔

Detailed Explanation / Lesson:

This hadith shows that the best people in the sight of Allah are not necessarily the wealthiest or the most powerful, but those who have two qualities:

Pure hearts: Free from hatred, jealousy, arrogance, and hypocrisy. A clean heart is filled with love, sincerity, and the remembrance of Allah.
Truthful tongues: Always speaking the truth, avoiding lies, backbiting, and hurtful speech.

The Prophet ﷺ linked faith and character once again, reminding us that sincerity inside and honesty outside are the marks of the best believers.

Dua:

اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِي مِنَ النِّفَاقِ وَحَصِّنْ لِسَانِي مِنَ الْكَذِبِ

Translation (English):

“O Allah, purify my heart from hypocrisy and protect my tongue from lying.”

Translation (Urdu):

“اے اللہ! میرے دل کو نفاق سے پاک کر دے اور میری زبان کو جھوٹ سے محفوظ فرما۔”
