This course is designed for Intermediate - Advanced Level Piano Study. Students will need to be familiar with the piano, be able to read notes and rhythms on sheet music, identify notes on the piano keyboard, and be able to play with both hands. If you are new to the piano, please visit the Beginner Piano Basics course first.

In this course, students will learn to recognize, understand, and describe the basic materials and processes of tonal music. The course aims to improve music literacy through active participation, homework assignments, and group discussion. Students will also engage in ear training and instrument family studies.
