Composition focus: Create motion.
Today, your job is to leave home.
Write a short phrase that:
- starts on home
- moves away
- does NOT resolve back yet
Example:
C – D – E – F – G
End on a note that feels unfinished.
If it feels slightly uncomfortable, you’re doing it right. The unfinished phrase will feel like its leading you somewhere.
