My theory when teaching Portuguese is simple:
If you can create one sentence, you can create ten.
If you can create ten, you can create twenty.
Today, let’s learn one of the easiest and most useful sentence structures in Portuguese:
Eu gosto de… = I like…
Eu não gosto de… = I don’t like…
For example:
➡️ Eu gosto de futebol.
(eh-OO GOHS-too jee foo-chee-BAWL)
= I like soccer.
➡️ Eu não gosto de futebol.
(eh-OO now GOHS-too jee foo-chee-BAWL)
= I don’t like soccer.
Now think of other Portuguese words you already know!
I’m leaving you a list of common verbs and nouns to help you. Try creating at least two sentences using this structure, then post them in the comments.
Want extra practice? Record yourself saying your sentences and send me an audio! I’ll personally review it and give you feedback. 🇺🇸🇧🇷
