Acrylic yarn: love it or hate it?
There's a real divide when it comes to yarn — and acrylic seems to sit right in the middle of it.
Yes, wool is wonderful. Natural fibres absolutely have their place. But let's give acrylic its due too — it's washable, affordable, consistent on the machine, and can produce genuinely lovely results.
I think a bit of fibre snobbery creeps in sometimes, and it can leave newer knitters feeling like their stash "doesn't count" if it's not natural fibre. That's such a shame, because the best yarn is the one that gets you knitting.
Where do you stand?
acrylic fan
natural fibre purist
or happy with both depending on the project?
