Keeping a lesson video in the same voice as the written version
Jeff’s point about sounding like ourselves fits what I’m working on: turning written lessons into videos. I want the structure to improve without sanding off the personality. I grew up in the ’80s, enjoy all kinds of music, and still laugh at Bugs Bunny. There’s room for a little humor in how I explain something, as long as the learner can follow the point. When you edit a script, how do you tell which rough edges are part of your voice and which are just making it harder to understand? Reading it out loud seems like a useful first check; I’d like to hear what else helps.

Eight ads that are really one idea 🌱
I keep seeing this pattern in realtor and local shop ad accounts. Someone uploads eight "variations." Same photo. Headline changed by two words. Offer unchanged. Meta just rebuilt the system that decides which ads even get considered. It can look at a much bigger pile now. Near-copies still register as one idea. One listing photo plus one offer is one concept. Swap the offer, the proof, or who is in the frame, and you've got a second concept. Quick check for today: open your last ad set. Cover the headlines with your thumb. How many ads still say the same thing? Keep the strongest. Replace the rest with a real second concept. What's one creative change you'd make this week that isn't just a new color or a new first line? Jeff

What question do you answer every single week? 🍎
Here's a pattern I keep seeing with realtors and local shops. The same question shows up again and again. A realtor gets a text at 9 PM: "Is this one still available?" A groomer gets: "Do you take walk-ins?" Same question. Different person. Every week. That repeat question is friction. Answer it before anyone has to ask, in your listing, your profile or a pinned post, and people move faster. You get your evenings back too. Google is also testing an AI that answers routine customer texts from Maps. It can only repeat what your profile already says. So written-down answers matter more now. Let's build a list together. Reply with just the question. One line. The one you answer over and over. 🌱 Jeff
