We hear about God’s LOVE for Us but do we know it?
Most of us have heard about the love of God and know that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us, but we do not know how to receive this love. It’s even hard to imagine that Jesus Christ died for you in particular. The whole idea/concept seems abstract to us even though we say we believe God’s love for us. The bible says God is love and we all have heard that before but it’s hard to just see it for ourselves and accept it as our own reality. If that is you, let me assure you that you are not alone. Realizing that you do not know the love of God is not a place for judgment and blame. Let it lead you to a place of curiosity and desire to know. That’s where I started and here are some of the things I learnt. Love cannot exist without intimacy. Intimacy is defined as “close familiarity or friendship”. Intimacy means “Into-me-see”. The way to intimacy with God is to be naked before him. I don’t mean naked as in no physical clothes but naked in your thoughts and your heart. Tell him exactly how you feel. You don’t have to worry about finding the right words and being articulate. Just tell it as it is. You do not have to be polite about it or try to say it in a nice way. If you don’t feel His love, tell Him; God I have heard of your love in church and other places, but I don’t know it, I don’t think I even know you. God, I feel angry and hurt by you because of this this and that. After you have told him all that is in your heart you can also present your new desire before Him; Lord I desire to know you, I want to know your love for me, feel it and see it. Teach me, guide me and help me. I do not want to remain in the state of not knowing you and your love for me. Intimacy also means in-time-I-see. We know people by spending time with them, talking and observing. So, create time to talk to God periodically. While you spend time with God, being naked about how you feel about Him pay attention to what He tells you too through your thoughts (the things that come to your mind) and just observe how it feels to be in His presence. The Bible says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. (John 1:1). The Word of God is God so if you want to know God you can begin in His word. You can simply google bible verses about the love of God, note them and then spend time to read, study and meditate on them. Knowing God and His love for you is a process and it does not happen at once it takes time so allow yourself time and be patient. I would recommend that you always come into God’s presence with a journal to keep records of your time including things that came to mind, how you felt, what God told you, the bible verse you read and the understanding you gained from God's word etc.

What the love of God means
The Love of God means: 1. God sees you no matter where you are: “You are the God who sees me,” Genesis 16:13 2. God knows you no matter who you are and where you come from: I have called you by name, you are mine." Isaiah 43:1 3. God hears you no matter the language you speak, whether you speak with clarity or not. "You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery". Genesis 16:11 Ishmael means God hears. 4. God accepts you even if you do not know how to accept yourself. 1 John 4:19 – “We love because He first loved us.” 5. God understands us: "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses" Hebrews 4:15-16 6. God reassures you he will never leave you or forsake you: For the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 You are completely loved by God, get to know God and receive this complete LOVE forever. Your husband's love supplements God's love and its okay if he falls short because he is human so don't blame him). You also supplement God's love for your husband and it's okay if you fall short (so don't beat yourself up). Pray for him and ask that the Holy Spirit helps him and help you too. Do not replace God's love with your husband. Do not prevent God from loving your husband by being his idol through manipulation. God help us all on this journey. Have a lovely day today!

Does God show us who to marry?
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I believe this plan of God include who we marry. God is very intentional and everything He created has a purpose. I don't think He will make a plan for our lives and leave out the one for you to marry and then ask you to choose by yourself. Marriage can make you or break you if you do not do it right. Although I know God shows mercy and can work out everything for our good I also believe that you can trust God, obey and follow His will and do marriage right. This might not be a popular believe so sometimes people go through this stage alone. This is a community for those who believe either that God has shown you your spouse but your are in a waiting season and those who are believing God to show them who God has for them. Let's gather here to support each other through the word of God and prayers. What is your believe on this topic?
