Welcome to the group — I’m so glad you’re here. This space was created for anyone who has ever felt lonely, unheard, or disconnected from the world around them. You're not alone, even if it sometimes feels that way. Here, we can share honest conversations, support one another without judgment, and explore what it means to truly connect in a time when so many of us feel isolated. Whether you’re here to listen, share, or simply be among people who understand — you are welcome. Loneliness isn’t just a personal feeling; it’s a global public health issue. According to the World Health Organization’s 2025 report, around one in six people worldwide experience loneliness—particularly among adolescents, young adults, and populations in low- and middle‑income countries (who.int). A broader Meta‑Gallup survey across 142 countries found that nearly one in four adults report feeling very or fairly lonely, with the highest rates—27 %—among young adults aged 19–29 (cnn.com). The health implications are alarming: loneliness is linked to over 871,000 deaths per year (equivalent to about 100 deaths each hour), and its risks are comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day in terms of impact on cardiovascular disease, stroke, depression, and premature mortality (who.int). We created this group because those statistics also tell us something hopeful: better connection is possible. If you’ve felt unseen — welcome. If you’ve felt disconnected — you’re welcome. And if you're ready to rebuild, even just by being present — you belong here.
