Wine cap vs Agrocybe praecox
New experiment. Found Agrocybe praecox fruiting in my raised bed. I don't hold any level of fondness for this species as though it is technically edible, it's far from appealing and taking up prime real estate in my raised bed.
Stropharia rugosoannulata, wine caps, have previously acted as a very effective secondary decomposer in my yard, eating other mushroom patches and victory fruiting in the middle of them. I placed some wine cap spawn around where the Agrocybe fruited. Now we wait.
