I'll get straight to the point - I made the lowest team. Team 3
I'm a little disappointed because I really thought I had a chance for making Team 2. I mean No way was I going to make team 1 because thats for the national players and I've never played that level.
If I'm being honest though, when I first found out, I was optimistic, I found out 3 of my closest basketball friends are in the same team as me, I knew most of the players and we have a really good coach.
But then I texted one of my friends and asked if what they thought....
they said they were really upset about it. i wont explain too much but i think they felt there was more on the line because they are older than me and this is probably their last year playing in the league.
It made me think about myself and I wondered if I should be upset and angry as well. I alwaqys set a high standard for myself so why shouldn't I now?
Look, it is what it is and after the state champs weekend they might re arrange the teams and i might get a chance, but for now im gonna keep working and i hope i have fun.
